Refund policy

In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to justify any reason or pay any penalty.

1. Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision by an unambiguous statement, by email to contact@essabricoffee.com, stating your name, order number and postal address.

You may use the model withdrawal form provided for in Article R221-1 of the Consumer Code, although this is not mandatory.

2. Return conditions

Products must be returned:

  • In their original packaging, unopened and unsealed
  • In perfect resaleable condition
  • Within a maximum of fourteen (14) days following notification of your decision to withdraw

Return costs: the direct cost of returning the goods is at your expense.

3. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

  • Food products unsealed after delivery and which cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection (opened coffee bags)
  • Products liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised

4. Refund

In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will refund all sums paid, including standard delivery costs, at the latest within fourteen (14) days of the date on which we are informed of your decision.

The refund will be made using the same means of payment as that used for the original order, unless you expressly agree to another means.

We may defer the refund until the products have been recovered or until you have provided proof of dispatch, whichever is the earlier.

5. Defective or non-compliant products

In accordance with Articles L217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code and Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code, you benefit from the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects.

In the event of a defective, damaged or non-compliant product, contact us within 48 hours at contact@essabricoffee.com with supporting photos. We will proceed with replacement or full refund, return costs included.
