Refund policy

In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to justify your decision or pay any penalties.

1. Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision by an unambiguous statement, by email to contact@essabricoffee.com, indicating your name, order number, and postal address.

You may use the standard withdrawal form provided in Article R221-1 of the French Consumer Code, although this is not mandatory.

2. Return Conditions

Products must be returned:

  • In their original packaging, unopened and unsealed
  • In perfect resalable condition
  • Within a maximum of fourteen (14) days following the communication of your withdrawal decision

Return shipping costs: the direct cost of returning the items is at your expense.

3. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

  • Food products unsealed after delivery and which cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection (opened coffee bags)
  • Products likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Products made to your specifications or clearly personalized

4. Refund

In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will refund the full amount paid, including standard delivery fees, no later than fourteen (14) days following the date on which we are informed of your decision.

The refund will be issued using the same payment method as the one used for the initial order, unless you expressly agree to another method.

We may defer the refund until we have received the products or until you have provided proof of shipment, whichever occurs first.

5. Defective or Non-Conforming Products

In accordance with Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code, you benefit from the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects.

In the event of a defective, damaged, or non-conforming product, please contact us within 48 hours at contact@essabricoffee.com with supporting photographs. We will proceed with replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs.
